Throughout her life Susan West Friedman promoted the causes of civil and human rights. Starting in high school as a young woman of Jewish heritage, she felt strongly about discrimination, equity and peace. The Susan West Friedman Fund will continue her unfinished work by supporting youth and minorities who are engaged in exemplary projects in the community. The fund will be administered by Activist San Diego, a federally registered 501c3 non-profit organization with grants being given to worthy individuals and causes on a yearly basis. Susan was an officer and a member of the Board of Directors of ASD.
